Frequently Asked Questions

  • I have booked my child in a holiday club online but have not received a confirmation? +

    If you have booked your child in online and the payment has been taken from your PayPal account or bank account, please assume your child has a place as in summer periods it is difficult to get all of our confirmations at the required pace and at peak times there may be a back log. If for any reason, we do not have a place for your child, we will contact you as soon as we receive your booking.
  • What does my child need to bring with them to ClubsComplete holiday clubs? +

    Please send your child with a packed lunch and plenty to drink, although drinking water will be available in all venues. We would advise that due to possible allergy issues, you do not pack any food which may contain nuts. In summer, pop a sun hat in their bag and sun cream (already applied). In winter, they will need an outdoor coat and outdoor footwear. If possible, please avoid sending your child in flip flops as it may restrict their ability to participate in certain activities. Please refrain from allowing your child to bring any toys from home, any electronic devices such as telephones, Nintendo DS, IPods etc. as we love children to be active during our sessions and strongly believe in equal opportunities for all.
  • What should my child wear to the clubs? +

    Please do not send your children dressed in their ‘best’ clothes. We want everyone to have a great time at our clubs and to feel free to get involved in all of our activities which can sometimes be quite messy – lots of paint, glue, glitter etc.
  • Are you OFSTED registered? +

    No, we are not OFSTED registered as we are exempt from the compulsory register, we are classed as an Activity Provider as opposed to a Childcare Service Provider. We provide a different activity every hour and all activities are adult-led rather than offering free play for several hours of the day. We encourage children to excel in the specific activities that are offered on the course that they are participating in. An OFSTED inspector has been out to one of our venues and was extremely happy with our services. However, unfortunately you cannot claim Working Tax Credits back from using our services.
  • Can I use my Childcare Vouchers to pay for the holiday clubs, breakfast or after school clubs? +

    No, we cannot accept Childcare Vouchers as we are an Activity Provider and not a Childcare Service Provider.
  • How can I book a place for my child at your clubs? +

    Bookings can be made online, by telephone 01530 412750 or by calling into our office at 86, Leicester Road, Ashby de la Zouch LE65 1TQ.
  • How can I pay for the clubs? +

    Payment can be made online by PayPal or credit/debit card, on the telephone by credit/debit card and in the office by PayPal, credit/debit card, cash or cheque. We also accept cheques posted to our office.
  • A trip is taking place on the week I have booked my child onto a club. Will you provide transport to the club? +

    Normally, we ask parents/carers to take and collect their children to/from the trip venue if it is close the venue where the Holiday Club is taking please (i.e. Swadlincote Ski Slope from Moira Village Hall). If we are to provide transport for the trip this will be stated in the trip description and the hire of coaches/mini buses will be included into the trip costs.
  • Why can’t my 3 or 4 year old attend for a full day? +

    This is due to Ofsted regulations. They stipulate that 3 and 4 year olds can only attend an Activity Provider Club for a maximum of 3½ hours.
  • My 3 and 4 year old are only attending for a half-day session, will they need to bring a packed lunch? +

    Yes, lunch time at our holiday clubs is 12.00pm and the children and staff eat their lunch together.
  • My child has a food intolerance/food allergy, what should I do? +

    Please notify us of any intolerance/allergies your child may have. We will ensure all staff are aware of any issues that may affect your child whilst attending our clubs.
  • Do you have any special discounts if I book the entire summer for my three children? +

    We offer yearly memberships that are released every October that provide you with amazing discounts that are split throughout the year! You can save up to 20% on all of our clubs using this special discounted membership.
  • My child loves musicals and performances however does not enjoy being in them, can I send them on a Star Academy course? +

    Of course, in our audition process we establish a backstage team for props, costumes, lighting and stage managing. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to come along and experience what goes on back stage!
  • Can my business sponsor ClubsComplete? +

    We are always looking for new sponsors and if your business would like to sponsor us, no matter how big or small sponsorship you can offer, please get in contact with us.
  • What times do the holiday clubs run? +

    All of our courses for children run from 9.00am-3.30pm for 5 – 14 year olds and – 9.00am–12.30pm for 3 – 4 year olds.
  • Are your staff DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and qualified? +

    All ClubsComplete members of staff have enhanced DBS disclosures and have been trained in safeguarding, child protection and behaviour management. There will always be at least one first-aider on each site at all times. All staff are experienced in working with children and young people, are qualified in their specific subject areas, and normally teach in curriculum time or provide extra-curricular activities during term time. All staff will have undertaken our ClubsComplete staff training course so are completely aware of all of our policies and procedures. We continuously assess our staff and have a strong commitment to improving our performance.
  • What are the adult to child ratios? +

    At each holiday club venue there is always a minimum of two adults on duty at all times. We always endeavour to work to a ratio of 1:16 as a maximum.
  • What is the booking deadline for holiday club sessions? +

    Although we can take holiday club bookings on the morning of the required club (subject to availability) we would ask that you provide as much notice as possible to ensure we have up to date club registers for our staff and the correct staff ratios in place.
  • What happens if I need to cancel a booked session? +

    If you do need to cancel any pre-booked sessions please contact us on 01530 412750 at the earliest opportunity so we can make relevant amendments to registers. We can provide a credit note for another holiday club session.
  • What if my child requires medication whilst at the club? +

    We are only able to accept and administer prescribed medication. If your child is likely to require prescribed medication of any sort throughout the day, please notify our head office on 01530 412750 and also inform the club leader on arrival, who will complete the necessary paperwork. All medication should be handed to the club leader and must be in its original packaging with the prescription label.
